Method of Vertiport Capacity Assessment Based on Queuing Theory of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Urban air traffic has gradually attracted attention in recent years, which will bring endless vitality to future urban development. An objective and accurate method of assessing vertiport capacity is the basis for flow management UAVs, plays an important role improving efficiency airspace resources. First all, this paper establishes a theoretical calculation model ground facilities such as takeoff landing platforms, taxiways aprons, respectively. Next, analyzes service characteristics each facility different types UAV queuing systems obtain delay curves based on Poisson arrival model. Subsequently, suitable acceptable level selected corresponding flow, means actual operations. Eventually, validity verified through drone data arithmetic examples. The results show that combination “1 + 2 takeoffs” can achieve better platform more prone congestion than platform. Change average time greatest impact apron capacity, most sensitive changes level.
